Losing a server is one of the most painful and crippling events that can happen to a small business. In today’s age, digital information is the blood of any organization. In small businesses, the challenge is to find a way to secure this information, given financial and manpower restraints. Often times the backup systems and redundancies don’t do their job, and you’re left with a disaster and an overwhelming feeling of helplessness.

When our server went down, we were fortunate to find Kyle Hogan and techFusion. More then the actual act of recovering our data, Kyle’s understanding and patience in an extremely stressful situation were invaluable. Our hard drive suffered catastrophic damage, such that it required the highest extent of recovery and reconstruction. Kyle guided us through the process and was available throughout, both offering information, as well as being a comforting voice when things looked bleak. He took the extra measure of providing us his cell phone number, so he was reachable at any time. At no point did we believe that Kyle was not 100% committed to recovering as much of our data in the quickest time possible. This helped make an extremely trying and difficult time period a little bit easier to swallow.

I would not hesitate to recommend techFusion and particularly Kyle Hogan to any business. The level of professionalism and customer service is outstanding and to say Kyle went above and beyond the call of duty for us is an understatement. Technology is a fast paced business that is full of automated messages and distant customer service and tech support people. Rebecca, one of the top business development people at my company, is on the way home from a quickie vacation to Hawaii. She goes to fire up her laptop on the way home, ready to get back in a work frame of mind. But she is quickly greeted by a "disk read error" upon startup. A few hours and phone calls later, I get the laptop in my hands. I attempt Microsoft's recommended use of the recovery console, again and again and again. Finally I'm able to get a directory listing of the C:\ drive. But for some reason, I'm unable to get to the subfolders. It doesn't matter in any case, because when I start the machine again, back is the "disk read error"- but it's worse. Now I can't even boot the machine from the XP CD- the setup program begins and immediately freezes. I was certain that all was lost- partially due I'm sure to my own attempts to fix it.

TechFusion to the rescue. I hear their ads on WBUR radio all the time, and Rebecca suggested them because her husband had used them once to recover data from some MRI-related equipment. So I called up and spoke to Kyle Hogan, who told me to bring the disk over. He seemed confident of being able to get what I needed, though was quick to warn that it can't always be done. About a week later, I hear from Kyle that he was successful in pulling back the items that I needed.

While disk recovery is not something that I want to do very often (it is an extremely expensive process, after all), I'm glad to know that Kyle and TechFusion are around for those special cases like this one. With so many staff members traveling extensively to do business, they rely more and more on the hard disk of their laptops for their working files, contact lists, and much more. Rebecca had lost months worth of new leads, proposals, emails which would have hampered her work for months to come. Now, she's back on the road doing the work to keep our business healthy, thanks to the help of Kyle and TechFusion.

I wanted to thank you and the folks at TechFusion for the great support you gave me in helping me get my data back. It may only have been 18GB of data on the hard drive that crashed, but it was data that was critical to me.

Not only were your personnel supportive, they responded quickly and helped me get through a very anxious couple of days. The recovery was completed quickly, all my questions were answered, and I have the data back and I'm up and running again.

Your news of yesterday that Tech Fusion could in fact save my files just about had me walking on air. I had been working on a web version of my climbing guidebook and the hard drive died after a late night’s work. I went to a good repair center and all their efforts could not get the drive to give up my files. I had been to them for general repairs before so their admission about the drive being unreadable was devastating.

I had heard about your company on WBUR and took the plunge. When I arrived at your shop your staff really tried to set me at ease without a bunch of phony promises.
